Fall From Grace
The documentary itself is not edited very well, or maybe that was the look they were going for, but overall gives you a general overview on a small niche of people who thrive on attention (including this post) because well deep down, they must all know they're pretty pathetic, and no Christian in their right mind would interpret the bible in such a hap hazard way to make it seem like their making sense.
The best part of the whole documentary is when the Westboro clan go to picket at a dead solider funeral and eight guys on Harley Davidson's show up, line their bikes up in front of them, and rev their motors, so no one at the funeral has to hear the stupid shit coming out of their pie holes.

Dear Fred Phelps and family,
Gays are here and not going anywhere, no matter how much you picket, so have fun wasting your time with a lost cause.

HAVOC
Havoc
2005

Mannn, is this film inconsistent. First off, white people trying to be gangsta is hilarious in real life, so actors trying to play them is even more funny and unbelievable. There are a few random sing along outbursts of random rap songs that you can't help but laugh at and the story of a bored affluent white girl looking for some excitement in East LA is not the best plot. Overall the flick is shot pretty nice. Good color and some of the shots are great of them riding around in the car, especially at the end with the 180 degree pan of the intersection with the gangstas and white boys. You should only watch this film if you think Anne Hathaway is kind of cute like I do.

Pretty good animation. I recruit artists like this for a living and I was pretty impressed with the Linklater like look. Rook approved

Ok, so this flick came out in 2005, but I just watched it recently, and highly recommend it if you're into films like, Donnie Darko
It's shot rather similar in some cases and has a pretty cool soundtrack. There's also a whole slew of very talented actors and actresses including, Glenn Close, William Fichtner, Allison Janney, and Rita Wilson
Growing up in a affluent suburban town in California, this was like watching my city on hyper speed. Just a little more out there and sarcastic.
The idea that all suburban kids are on meds and live video games....

Cutest Protest Ever!
The Singapore authorities responded by sending four riot vans. The organizer of the protest, Zer0 told reporters that the police removed the figurines and that plainclothes officers filmed them.
According to the Yahoo News brief, "public protests are rare in Singapore, where outdoor demonstrations are banned and any public gathering of more than four people requires a permit."
6 Years Later

"What people must remember about 9/11 is that the cops, firemen, EMTs, all had very physical jobs. These were healthy people who had these jobs. We had to pass a physical every year. The question now becomes, if all these people were healthy, why are they all sick now? You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure this out. What is the common denominator? 9/11 - Ground Zero."

Amoeba did a webcast of the show, but I'm not sure if they'll archive it or not. I hope they do, it was fantastic (except for Jen's drunk stalker yelling vagina a bit too much - it was funny the first time)

Apple stores charge 5 bucks a pop to enter:
Cupertino, CA – If you want to see the iPhone at an Apple store, be sure to bring some cash. Large crowds flocking to see the iPhone and next generation iPods have forced Apple to begin charging a $5 entrance fee for Apple stores. Many analysts anticipated the move, and expect a positive response from customers.
"Part of the move was to limit crowds to keep the stores safe, but also we wanted to keep the right kind of people in the stores," said vice president of retail outlets, Vince Sciopiano. "By 'right kind of people' I mean true Apple customers with money, willing to pay just to look at our newest wares."
While Apple Geniuses patrol inside the store, Apple "Muscleheads" will guard the window displays and entrances.
For the $5 fee, customers will get an Apple button which will allow them entrance into the store and is used to track the customer's movements. Sciopiano noted that the $5 fee could be applied to purchases on that visit.
Customer reaction at a pilot project at the Apple Store in Canoga Park, California was positive. Alexander Hu, an avid Mac user, said, "I don't mind paying $5 to get into the store, if it keeps out the iPhone gawkers and Windows lusers who want to drool over the new Macs."
Not everyone was pleased though. Kyle Martin said, "Five dollars to just walk into the store? It's like they want to be elite snobs or something."
When told of the criticism, Sciopiano said, "That's exactly the case."

In Pot We Trust
Here is a youtube sample of a person who cannot get medical marijuana in her home state.
She made me cry.
The whole documentary is awesome. Shows all sides, but what stays with you is the people who need marijuana to be happy and to feel right.
Take God I live in California.

Last night we went over to a friend's house and watched, Cocaine Cowboys.

It came out in 2006, and is a complete overview of how Miami as a city is essentially built on a bunch of launder drug money. It was really long and violent, but I still thought it was good, because most of the time when you think of cocaine you think of Pablo Escobar, and he was but a small portion of this trade.
I'd recommend it to anyone interested in how illegal drugs have shaped American life and our connections to other countries.
